I.R.I.E. Rafting is fortunate to have many of California's most pristine watersheds to share and explore with its clientele. In order to insure these natural resources remain intact for generations to come, the owners/operators of I.R.I.E. Rafting along with its entire guide staff take seriously their role in upholding environmental stewardship and employing sustainable business practices. This includes using biodiesel in company vehicles when applicable, recycling everything from aluminum cans to AA batteries, practicing preffered purchasing of green products, participating in numerous river clean-up projects and composting leftover food from river trips. Community Involvement and Charitable Donations
As an involved member of the tightknit Lake Tahoe community, I.R.I.E. Rafting donates a significant amount of river trips to local non-profits in hopes of exposing at-risk youth to the benefits of the outdoor lifestyle.
